# Remove a contact

`DELETE /lokta-lms/api/v1/sourcing-partners/{partnerId}/contacts/{contactId}`

Removes a contact from a sourcing partner.

**The last contact cannot be removed** (`422 sourcing/last_contact_cannot_be_deleted`). A partner with no contact is one nobody can reach about an invoice, and every screen downstream assumes one exists; refusing here is cheaper than each of them handling an absence that should not occur.

Removing the primary is allowed when others remain: the oldest survivor is promoted in the same transaction, so the partner is never briefly unreachable.
